LARAS collaborate with the lovely women of a Weaver Cooperation located in a small village in Flores, Indonesia. Flores is well known for it’s fine traditional Ikat weaving.
Together with Alfonsa Horeng, founder of the Womens Weaver Cooperation Lepo Lorun, we help sustain the long tradition of Ikat weaving in Indonesia. Ikat-weavers want to keep weaving and create a more steady income from their Ikat textiles. They are proud of their weaving skills, and want you to have the possibility to stand out in style with their work of art.
Every Ikat cloth is unique with her own colors and designs and they a tell a story, stories about all the beautiful things in the weavers’ life.

Mama Gonda is a Master weaver from Flores. Meaning she’s an expert of all the 45 steps of the process making an Ikat cloth and produces the highest quality cloths. I’m so grateful for her patience while teaching me the whole process of Ikat. We use her beautiful cloths for our LARAS products, like the one in the picture.
Mama Leti and Mama Maria Justina
I’ve met these talented weavers during my second visit to the Weaver Cooperation in Flores. We use their beautiful cloths for our LARAS products.
